just got in my car put foot on clutch then bang,clutch gone to floor and stays there and some white plastic has broke off.any idea at what im looking at price wise to get fixed i cant drive as need to get it towed in. |

Might just be the clip on the pedal. May only need to replace the cable itself. |

ye just a replacemeant cable. about £30 from a motor factors and about an hour to change if u have aircon ________________________________________ 1997 blaze GTI-6 bought january '11 £800 Spend to date on parts £827.88 |

Its not a difficult job and theres an FAQ on how to do it on the forum.Spend a Fiver on membership,trust me its more than worth it! |

I drove mine for about 8 miles when my cable snapped, the box didnt like it at all!Was a bit stiff and clunky after i got the new cable on putting it into gear for a good week or so afterwards, seems sweet now though - wouldnt recommend it! ________________________________________ ''Oh, it does handle like a golf!'' sorted what an absolute pig of a job cable.hope i aint gotta do that again.gearbox feels a bit stiff and clutch needs slamming to the floor to engage gear,so just hope its needs bedding in. |

ok its been a few days and everytime i take her out it like im fighting the gearbox,and its getting right on my tits,high rev gear changes are a no no and even low speed are ruff im just hoping its the cable self adjusting and nothing else. |
