Well, while we're on it - emails do not need HTML character escaping. For example I get this:quote: & quot;Follow this thread& quot; not working in Chrome? As my subject line. Irritating. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Owain's the guy in the film "Wanted" who smashes his boss in the face with a keyboard and the letters "f*ck YOU" fly towards the screen although I don't know where the second "U" comes from, probably a foreign keyboard adding to his frustration ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Now, I have no idea what you're talking about so I Googled it and, as ever, it's on YouTube.I think you'll find they cleverly use a molar as the second U ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Works fine for me, although I do run the dev channel release of the Mac version of Chrome, so my feedback might not be very helpful for Windows users! Not sure if anything has changed since the issue was initially reported though... I don't receive PM notifications though, which has been the case since the re-launch last year. ________________________________________ Rich |

Once you've followed a thread, go to Home | Favourites and see if the thread is now in your list. If it is, it's nothing to do with the browser and it's successfully subscribed you; if you then don't receive notifications, that's a separate issue. If the thread is *not* in that list, it's an issue with the subscribe button in your browser. The difficulty is that the subscribe button is the only one which uses "ajax", which essentially means it does the call to the server in the background, without your page refreshing or taking you to a page that says "nice one, subscribed". That's good, as it means you don't have annoying page refreshes all the time, but as it's in the background you never find out if it doesn't work - you never get an error page, you never see it hang - it just doesn't work. So check that list of Favourites to see if it's an email issue or a subscribe issue. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Manually refreshing the page would tell you, as it would pull the current thread subscription status from the database and display the button accordingly. ________________________________________ Rich |
