im aware of a few of the differences between the two. mainly the rallye is stripped outand 16kg lighter? are there any beefier parts or is the differnce only the weight? 16kg seems a bit pointless seeing as ive managed to shed over 40kg from mine so far without compramising any functionality? just wondering thanks for your replies in advance ________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |

i see........ why the hell does vicky butler henderson say 16kg lighter then on the topgear review of it.mines a phase one and doesnt seem to have some of the stuff on t hat list anyway including aircon. im pretty much down to rallye weight now then i reacons.  do the rallyes get 7500rpm? ________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |

If you have a phase 1 six iirc it will be lighter than a rallye anyway. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

phase 1's tended to have sunroofs or aircon so wont be lighter than a rallye, s16 is lighter as the box brakes and no aircon on most________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Max power is delivered around 6000 rpm so there's no point revving higher as the engine quickly loses power after that.________________________________________ Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. |

Is the 52kg vs 16kg weight loss thing due to comparing weights of differently-specced cars - e.g. a Rallye probably is 50-odd kg lighter than a GTI-6 with aircon, sunroof and other optional bits, but prob only 16kg lighter than a 6 without the air-con and optional bits. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
