Well it looks like our C2 that we have had for 3 months is going to be written off (I'll not go into details since the claim is still in process, but it wasn't her fault), after the garage quoted £3800+ to fix it and it only costing us £3000. So we are going to be on the lookout for something of very similar spec, and I am pretty much out of ideas. The C2 was a
1.4 HDI furio with the SensoDrive semi auto gearbox. The reason it was idea was that it was giving her nearly 70mpg on her 35mile each way commute and the semi-auto meant it didn't aggravate her sports injured left leg.

So what I'm looking for is something for about £3000, certainly no more than £3200 that will do 60+mpg, sub 70k miles and I would prefer an auto or semiauto. Size doesn't matter, 99% of the time there is only her in the car.

There are only 3 of that model for sale on autotrader, 2 on too many miles and 1 with a chav exhaust and stupid rear lights so it has probably been thrashed.

just bought a mini cooper D for my missus, dont think she liked it to start with as they are quite small compared to the impreza she had before. but now she can see the financial benefits coming though , ease of parking 20 quid tax a year, 50+mpg she is starting to enjoy it now she also sees how popular they are. i am quite a lump but have no problem driving it at all, it does a ton with ease fits the shopping in and that is about all i need it for at the moment. and it looks well built and is virtually ididot proof
