TBH he should be checking the parts, but TMS and ECP were the suppliers so no surprise the wrong parts were sent. Can understand how the mistake happened but oh well. Least I got paid cash in hand, earned more in those three days than a month's JSA
He was happy enough to let me work three days but I guess he saw it as my fault, not his or the supplier's. Only good thing about not working there is that they let people wander about while you're working on motors. Was doing discs and pads on an Astra and the owner was over my shoulder the whole time getting very concerned as it wasn't going together how he though it would. Tried to explain that yes it was going together correctly, yes those retaining clips go there, and if you look at the old parts you'll see the wear indicating which pad was facing the piston but he still asked for the boss to come over and inspect it before he left. Arsewipe. I prefer the places that take the car in and don't let you have access. They were a bit TOO friendly there with taxi drivers hanging around undermining everything you do. I mean FFS, i showed the courtesy to wire brush a taxi driver's hubs and copper slip them to prevent the discs sticking on again, had to remove the old ones with a hammer. But apparently you shouldn't do that as "you shouldn't be putting grease near wheels" according to the taxi driver
