As title speedo not working since I removed battery to get easier access to thermostat elbow I didn't unplug any wires so I'm a bit stumped any help appreciated

Knocked the plug off the sensor or caught it and broke the wire?

    Isit a black plastic looking screwworm a White cap? Ifit is the cap looks a bit damaged is there meant to be a wire on it thanks

    No, that's the oil filler.

    It's above where the driveshaft goes. You will have to look over and behind the gearbox.

    I know I seem a bit slow but I'm new to peugeots .does it have a cable coming from it ?going into bulkhead if so it seem ok

    To be honest that sounds like the lift up reverse you are on about.

    If you look down the back where the linkages are to your left you should see a plug, it should have a cover around it so may have to slide that up the wire to actually see the plug.
