Get Ashley to knock you up a nice 2.5" mild steel cat-back system, it won't rot out any time soon, they don't resonate as bad a stainless systems, ask for a stainless tail pipe to be welded on so it looks smart and away you go.

Possibly, being 2 1/4'' thats the same size as standard right?

How does it do in respect to what i wanted from the new zorst?

-quiet/slight rumble on idle?
-quiet in normal driving?
-quiet on the motorway at 70?
-have a nice raspy induction roar when i boot it. Dont want it boomy?
-preferably increase performance by increasing gas flow?

Whys he looking to sell and what sort of price you looking for? Have any photos and of the tail pipe?

Thanks

Ashley being? Smile

Would 2.5'' up from 2 1/4'' give better performance? Any price ideas for that lot?

Thanks

Keep the cat, weld a straight peice of tube in place of the mid box and use a standard back box. This will give you a lovely rasp and a nice note when you boot it. It won't boom at 3000rpm as the back box is a reverse flow baffled muffler which cancles the boom frequencies. Plus it won't cost the earth to get someone to weld a bit in the mid section. Worth a go for the sake of a few quid?

only if 2.25" was restricting your engine, which as a standard engine it certainly wont be.
