Alright guys, ive had a quick look on the search bar and couldnt find anything relating to tyre pressures for slicks.

Does anyone one know what a typical pressure should be on a set of 17's(pro race) with clio cup slick tyres?

I cant remember the exact size of the tyre at the moment but ill check asap.

Thanks in advance, Lee

depends very much on the tyre and conditions, most look to get an even specific temp and pressure when warmed up, and adjust the cold to suit.

Is there a good psi to start with too adjust accordingly? Lets say its a dry warm summers afternoon.

start mid 20's rear and low 20's front and adjust to suit
rears dont get much heat into them so start higher than fronts to maintain even pressures

If you pm CRF450 he would have the answer your after. Iirc he struggled getting them to work well, his suspension was. Very high spec too.
Have you got rid of the rubber bushes in your front wishbones & rear beam as the extra load from the slicks could cause you real handling issues!!

Cool

Lotek is around the right pressure although the wrong way round; run the rears lower than the fronts which works the rears harder so that they warm up quicker.

You will need to sort out some roller or ball bearing wishbone bushes, check out the kits on sale by Rich W. You will also srtuggle to get the best contact patch without a fair bit of negative camber. Expect to scrub the shoulders out on the tyres fairly quickly if you don't have neg camber.

Last night we trial fitted our wheels to make sure everything was ok.

We also thought about adjusting the suspension to suit the track.

It took us all of about 10 mins to work out we knew naff all about it and we should seek advice.

I think some googling will be going on today!

Thanks for your advice above guys, im not sure we have camber adjustable top mounts so will keep an eye on the shoulders.
