hi guys got back into the rallye/6 fold a few weeks back.got a standard rallye all ready to be tuned and tweeked.
First up was getting it lowered abit, but after filling torision bars(fuel tank side)where lock in solid decided to slam it for a few weeks until i get a beam rebuild.
I hated it a first, thought miles to low but its growing on me Smile

BEFORE...

AFTER..

Well done, you've ruined a perfectly good car, both in looks and handling.

Troll surely?

To a degree (and even then only if you *change* the suspension setup - springs, dampers etc), but past a certain point it completely ruins it in every conceivable way.

You'll be driving around on the bumpstops tearing your oil sump apart every time you go over a bump.

lolz troll alert.
lowering does feck all apart from shift cog positions, which without affective changes to the rest of the suspension geometry will f*ck the handling completely. O and it will also change things like camber and f*ck ur tyres

Consideing i can only do 70MPH anywhere legally (cant risk points i need my leicence for work) therefore handling is low on the list, i would rather it looked good. As for tyres....just buy more, solved.

IMO!

Yes, handling is a non-issue below 70mph, handling on these kicks in around 76 IIRC, just before the first fan comes on.

You sure? I thought that was on the '6, and Rallyes were lower because of the manual windows?

f*ck em all mate, my rallye is on the floor and handles like you wouldnt believe! And yes before you ask my old 6 was 40mm drop and the Rallye still handles better. It even cocks its back wheel and its about 60-70mm low at the back!

Rallyes have to be low IMO. They just look better!

That badly then! LOL

If you do lower it I prefer it with aftermarket wheels, the black with red wheels/magnex/stickers looks much better than with clones. With clones it just looks like the beams collapsed.

Standard is the way forwards for the road, even works well on track!

For track only, larger wheels to fit bigger brakes, beefy torsion bars, arb and coilovers = win.

Someone used the phrase "rollin' on 'clones" once, that was pretty tragic.

EDIT: Obviously they didn't get the apostrophes right in their version

I do agree with the Cyclones comment. Pro race 1's would be my choice. Either that or a nice 16" speedline wheel.
