Focal is the make of the speaker, k2p is the type of speaker, model number if you like.

There is a newer version to the k2p and they do sound pretty good.

Ive got hertz hsk hi energy's in my daily, well... i will do when i get chance to fitting them with my genesis profile 4, ive also got a jl audio 8"w7 with a 500/1 amp to run it Smile

Yeah I was referring to lew.
Have you heard of Morel? It's an Israeli company making very good speakers!
There's this spectrum of sound qualities that these companies are rated upon in ICE forums.
Usually it goes from Focal - Hertz - Morel, where to the left you get more metallic sound but clearer and more detailed. To the right you get softer sound, some find it better but it lacks some detail. and in the middle is the combination.
Most other companies belong to one of these sides, according to choice of tweeter material.

I for example took the Focal K2P which is considered very sharp to the point it hurts some ppl, and amped the tweeters actively with a 2ch old school american amplifier which really subtles them.

+1 for focal door speakers and rainbow sub!!

I have (but not in use) a 12" rainbow sub which is awesome!! I ran it with an Alpine amp, was class along with focal door speakers, was the best set up i have had/experienced!!

Might be selling my rainbow 12" sub and my spare jbl amp. If anyone is interested pm me Smile

I try Big grin
tbh this whole ICE thing doesn't go very well with sporty cars, ie the 100 kgs extra weight doesn't really line up with the rest of the car..
