how many injectors does my hdi have! and how much would it be to have them reconed?

It will have four mate, is the car running rough or anything, these are not cheap to be reconned and usually you end up damaging them to get them out, if it's just something you are doing as it may improve running or something personally I woundnt bother.

got a rattle up to 3200rpm been told its the injectors, sourced a engine for £100 not to far from me going to just change over the injectors from that and recon mine when i can afford to do so!

You may find that they won't come out the head as over the years they seize in.

They do get seized in but with little persuasion and perseverance they will come out eventually.

As above, they normally come out with persuasion as it's a crow foot clamp affair. There are tips how to get them out on chav306.net.

There are 4 as it's 4 cylinder lol. The famous 3200rpm rattle is injector noise. i've lived with mine for 100+K, it means nothing and does no harm.

maybe you can help with my performance? when i go to accelerate there is nothing for around a few seconds then it responds but with a lot of black smoke! any ideas? i thought it was injectors?

Is the car misfiring at all? Does it vibrate a fair bit on start up and then quieten down when it's warmed up?

no doesnt vibrate, when it starts itl fire up, idle fine for few seconds then die down then return to normal! only does it at low revs, does that rule out lag?
