Looking to replace all the shocks on my 306 for some OEM replacement Bilstein B4 items, just to freshen it up.

I am pretty happy with the standard height of my car, so was wondering if you can get uprated springs that don't lower the car?

Otherwise, I am looking to buy some Eibach springs, which apparently lower the car by 30mm.

Will these Eibach springs be compatible with standard Bilstien shocks? And will this cause any scrubbing etc as I like to drive my car quite hard?! Currently have 195/50/15 tyres all round.

Would also be looking to get the rear beam lowered to match if I went the Eibach route.

Thanks for your help.

Eibachs are the better of a selection of lowering springs. Ideally suited to B8's but should be ok with B4's too Thumbs up

Ok cheers for that.

So I don't suppose there would be any arch scrubbing issues by lowering 30mm? Also have lower than standard profile tyres which must give more clearance (195/50/15)?

Don't suppose anybody has a picture to hand of their 306 lowered 30mm, with Cyclones (or 15" wheels), from the side?

Thanks

I'm currently running b4's with eibach's. Yes it does lower by 30mm but there are no issues of scrubbing etc. I run 55 profile on cyclones and there is still a big gap between the wheel and arch. It sharpens up the front nicely compared to standard items.

I'll try and get a pic for you.

I'm running B8's + Eibachs all round, and I'm kinda sick of it. Every pothole feels like the car is about to break in two!
currently enquiring about genuine suspension - the best IMO.

It is! I've run this set up on my car for a year, I find it firm but well damped. Not quite as comfy as th OE gear but worth it for the improvement in handling Yes

Yep that could be it - although after living two months in the UK, I can say some of the B roads you have are not that far away..
Really depends on location - where I live many roads are neglected, so I find myself avoiding potholes more than enjoying the drive.

Am studying traffic engineering so hope to make things better in the future Wink
