The question. Just seems like an odd question to ask here. It's like me saying "there's a guy down the road who does painting, anyone know how much he'll charge to do my lounge?"Hard to tell if people are genuine or just trying to wind people up sometimes, tis all. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

You would never see 40bhp without major mods e.g throttle bodies and cams. If you have no mods then you would be very lucky to see 10bhp with a remap. It would more than likely just iron out any flat spots and give more throttle response. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

and probably less fuel consumption. there would have to be a negative side to remapping a standard engine ie better low down for less of mid range. they are mapped to optimum performance/fuel economy on the standard settings.a complete waste of money if you ask me . change the exhaust at least you might gain something that way________________________________________ puglessPhase 1 GTI 6 1996-1997 Subaru Impreza GB270 2007-2008 rare spiderman comics same day international courier |

owain wrote: Normally aspirated = give up trying to get big gains /end I think he is on about 2.2 ctdi or whatever it's called. Assuming you are you can get good gains but as mentioned above this site is for gti6's so may not get the best answers on here. Try the honda forum or just google it, there are plenty of places specialising in diesel tuning these days. ________________________________________ Ryan |

^And realise it has the same problem with huge chamber surface area as the w*nkel does which is what causes 'em to drink fuel you mean?________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. I still don't understand what's stopping the thing from running backwards as soon as it fires? As soon as ignition occurs why don't both "walls" of the chamber move in opposite directions, rather than just one of them moving?________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |
