marcwn4536 wrote: always one stupid comment Well no it's basically the right answer, but yes, could be a number of things. A dodgy blue temperature gauge sensor can cause this to come on as well ________________________________________ "We never have any near misses, we hit them every time!"clicky code for my benefit [ url= http://www.website.com]My link |

Mine was a false positive actually, came on and I shat my pants. Turned out it was just a bison on the roof not a horse at all, so that was a relief as I'm sure you can imagine.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Wow, you really did have a lucky escape there. Others haven't been that lucky, sadly. I remember when my Girl Friend had a baby and put it in the oil filler cap, that made the 'STOP' light come one too. Annoying thing was, she promised that she had put it in the bin. Although I haven't had this problem I did once use a cat skin as my air filter and my GF borrowed the car - It came back with tip-ex all over the 'STOP' sign. yeah mine came on once too. panicked like f*ck. managed to pull over an had a look under the bonnet. there was 2 midgets on pedalbikes hooked up to the front wheels where my engine should've been. think the light meant they needed a break ________________________________________ Cherry Red - Phase 1 RestorationShe's alive again |

I got a chav wedged in my front bumper that caused the light to come on. I like him being there though so I just removed the bulb An an unrelated note my headgasket went twice in the last month. Temperature was fine though as the stop light didn't come on so i'm baffled ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Absolutely it should still come on, regardless of whether there's a bulb in it.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

with the intention of bringing this thread right back on topic and just in case you were all wondering, according to my haynes manual, the blue sensor is there to measure the weight of the animal on your roof which is then clearly displayed on the orange backlit screen that sits behind the steering wheel. It also says that older cars tend to attract heavier beasts, so please for the love of god watch out if your driving a P1!________________________________________ "We never have any near misses, we hit them every time!"clicky code for my benefit [ url= http://www.website.com]My link |
