Hi,

Stupidly bought a M12 bolt without double checking if it was 1.5mm thread...

EDIT

I've rounded the ARB end cap holes, I was using the method where you put a bolt into the ARB end cap to push it out.

Do you mean you have stripped the threads in the ends of rhe ARB?

Yea the ARB end plate threads


Just wondering how to get the caps off now?

Might be able to get a crowbar under the plate to remove one end, you can then slide the ARB out from the other end.

Tyre levers or a puller is the only way now, unless you can do a helicoil thread repair in-situ.

you could also remove that bolt and get a drift in the hole and beat the arm out the other side

You will want to put a bolt in the thread in the arb though or else you will damage the threaded hole witht he drift. (Typical answer from Chris though, his first resort is always a big hammer) Wink LOL

Personally I'd weld a stud to the plate and just use a slide hammer to pull the bugger off, but thats me.

If you buy a welder, you can make a slide hammer Razz
