Hi, im looking for a bit of a heads up on what its like to change the exhaust manifold on a gti6, im going to be swapping complete systems over between 2 gti6's and it looks to be a bit of a pig of a job to do the manifold so was hopng someone has any tips, Thanks

Leave the exhaust manifolds and swap the systems from the cat back.
Engine has to come out to remove the manifold.

Engine doesn't need to come out, but makes it much easier. I changed mine by dropping the subframe and then rocking the engine forward. Its very tight squeeze but it is possible.

I'd go for the easier option as knowing my luck the subframe bolts would shear off

yeah they are crap bolts, best thing tio do is undo the two little bolts on either side rather than the one big one.
