had 6 bent valves and replaced 8 had the head fitted properly by the same guy that fiited my last 6 head but this time its still bloody tapping,and he thinks it can only be the lifters (tappets) it is a little smokey when you give it a blip on tne throttle....any suggestions as i am loosing faith now ________________________________________ french foreverT859HFC now gone T534 KVR now new home |

As above,guides prob damaged Should check the guides as a matter of course,mine needed all exhaust valve guides replacing due to age/wear ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

is there a good mechanic in my area that could do the head on my rallye as i am getting fed up of the answers,saying it wont run on bent valves or its the tappets,as i want to get it sorted once and for all now and cant keep spending mo ney all the time just want someone who knows what there doing...cheers________________________________________ french foreverT859HFC now gone T534 KVR now new home |

Car - Mechanical repairs can sort you out with a tap free head or try rich w or I'm still in contact with an ex longmans employee |
