Did Snetterton yesterday, and the inside of the car gets extremely hot, and most of this is coming from the driver's footwell where (now all the deadening has been removed) is really does get extremely hot.
Not only that, I still have a few Paul Walker-style manifold breaches in the floor where the tar crap has been removed and the plastic plugs have gone missing.
I reckon best bet is to get some aluminium chequer plate stuff that I can shape to where I need it - it'll help keep out the heat, plug the holes and provide some grip. So, two questions:
1) There are various thicknesses, thinnest seems to be 1.5mm. Does anyone know if that's thin enough to bend to shape? Obviously want it to be as light as possible as well.
2) Does anyone know of someone who does it cheap other than eBay? It's the kind of thing I can imagine is marked up considerably and can probably be found at some tiny company in some nowhere industrial estate for no money
Cheers in advance people.
