cos those are 2ohm speakers, if you're after some cheap half decent co axial ones, i've got some alpine s types spare. but it depends on what you want out of it really, if you're running them off an amp, the wattage etc.

can't see these being better than alpine r types, but again it depends on how much power you're putting through them, the alpine's will sound worse due to lack of power. my r type's weren't too special until i put a big amp and 100+ watts rms through them.

Hmmm might connect them up and see then.

I have a brand new set of Kappa 65.5cs components(includes bi-directional tweeters and crossovers), still in original shrink wrapped packaging, manuals, box etc.

I initially bought them with an Alpine MRV-T320 2 channel V12 Amp to stick it in my Rallye, but I decided not to butcher my car and since been gathering dust(still boxed and un-opened!) in my room.

Drop me a PM if you're interested.

If you're referring to the MRV-T320, yes, it is a beautiful Amp Love
I used to have the older MRV-T407 driving a set of Alpine comps rigged up to my VW Mk1 GTi campaign donkeys years ago. Ever since owning the Rallye, I ditched the stereo Whistle

Reference are the entry level infinity stuff IIRC. They're not bad for the money but there's a LOT better stuff out there. I had the top end Kappa stuff in my 306 when I sold it, components up front and coax in the parcel shelf all running off the HU with an Alpine SWR 12" sub. Not the loudest system by any means but the quality of sound was fantastic, I plan on putting much the same in the 309.
