Just sitting thinking about ways to improve my track car and wondered what peoples views and or experiences of having one fitted into a rallye track car were,
Im still not 100% on doing it so good and bad please......

why would you want to, there just a inline brake to the rear so you can lock up the rear wheels to get around tighter turns. having this on a track car has no benefit. you will still need to retain the standard one in order to have a mot or park on a hill etc.

True dat. The only reason for them (as mentioned) is to do handbrake turns.

Now I've done a few trackdays now, and I've never needed to do any handbrake turns Wink

Plus it defeats the object of a handbrake, which is a mechanical brake to stop your car rolling away if your hydraulics fail. Hydraulic handbrakes won't help you there.

its not even recommended to leave your handbrake on after a track session...

Wot he said. Hence why it was annoying when my car failed its MOT on its handbrake I've never used Doh

Pfft, handbrakes. I ran my car for a month without one when both cables snapped Dry

Fair points........
Was just thinking of something to do and agree not really gonna use it on track and im not gonna take up rally anytime soon

2nd gear > foot to floor> 6k rpm> turn> Let off fully= same effect...

Fiddle brakes != hydraulic handbrake.

They're much more fun Big grin
