i have been offered a 205 dimma shell at a decent price, and the only problem is its on standard 1.9 wheels Sad

i would ideally want some dimma split rims for it, does anyone know how much i should be looking at for a set? thats if i can find some

or alternatively what offset wheels should i be searching for too fill the rear arches?

Came across this by accident, but theres actually a company that split the original 205 gti wheels and make dimma rim reps for about 500ish.

forceracing i think.

am i right in thinking that its the wheel centre that gives your wheel size, and the rim that gives width. So if this company use 1.9 wheels to begin with they will remain 15" whereas original dimma wheels are 16". The trouble is i'm a bit picky and if i'm gonna go the whole dimma route i want to get it right

on a side note, the dimma i have been offered has the optional dimma vented bonnet, does anyone know if these are worth anything? As i've never seen one before and i'm planning on using my auto bonnet anyway

Nick, a friend of mine has a set of genuine Dimma split rims (Photo below) for sale with decent tyres fitted, if your interested then have a look in parts for sale as i've posted up a for sale add for them -

Have you got a photo of the Dimma? Just wondering if its an original bonnet - square vents fitted close to the edges? Alot of owners like to fit the auto bonnets as they give off a more aggressive look, hence the Auto tends to be desirable as you may already know.

the dimma i have been looking at is the same as this one

edit: just realised thats an auto bonnet, the one i am looking at has the same vents on a standard bonnet

although in slightly worse condition as its been stood for 8 years, it does only have 60k miles on it though Smile

i am interseted in the dimma wheels your friend has, they look Love is he open too offers on them?

Sorry Nick, minutes after my post yesterday, my mate rang me to say the wheels were sold and he had taken a deposit. Just for reference, they sold for the asking price.
If for any reason the sale falls through I will let you know straight away.

On a plus side, there is another set that are going to be treated to a professional refurb in the not to distant future so i'll let you know when they are ready.

Regarding the bonnet, yep I thought that was the one you were talking about. I have another mate with a Dimma, he is after an auto bonnet but I can ask if he is interested in a vented standard one instead, doubtful but worth asking. Value wise, it's one of those 'it's worth what someone is willing to pay' to be honest.
