I plan to replace the Rallye plastic steering wheel with a Momo wheel in the near future. I see the Momo hub kits are specific for steering wheel replacement on airbag equipped cars or non-airbag equipped cars. Does this mean the hub kit for a car with an airbag includes wiring for the airbag light? Or do I need to source a resistor from elsewhere? Using the search facility, I saw reference to a 'shunt' (resistor and wiring so airbag light does not stay on) formerly stocked by Peugeot which was said to be no longer available? Can anyone provide an update on this? Anyone replaced their airbag wheel recently? Many thanks. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

Momo sell boss kits specifically for Airbag 306's, just make sure you order the one with an "r" at the end of the part number, they should then come with the right cable to plug into the airbag loom to make the airbag light behave as normal. Mine for the phase 3 gti6 does exactly that with no disturbance of the dash or dash bulbs. ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? I think now due to new MOT rules the airbag light has to illuminate during the startup procedure, therefore taking the bulb out would make it fail.I could be wrong though. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

pretty sure you are right as of few month agolast time my rallye was in Mot centre they were asking what i used to make my airbag light work ; as they had cars in failing because of Airbag light pretty silly considering my Rallye had no airbags left in it ________________________________________ TEAM HIGH BOOST SUPERCHARGED RALLYEMy Rallye project thread |

Noting the 2+ year thread bump, in the end I went for an OE leather rim wheel to replace the plastic Rallye one, so I still have the airbag. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

How do they know a car is fitted with a airbag though if it's not fitted at the time of test and no light comes on on dash? Or is there a year/date where airbags are compulsory fitment? Another vote for removing the bulb as sooner or later the wiring in the seats fails anyway! ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Yes, I've had a couple of blinks today, and cured it by unplugging/replugging the plugs under the seats but I was thinking about how to sort it when that no longer works. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
