Hello everyone, have a set of PR1.2s that are nearly ready for new tyres and need a good refurb anyway! Ive heard somehwere we can have a max of 205 width on the tyres and get away with it, im interested in doing this but what size sidewalls would i be needing? They are 195/40/15s atm and i think the speedo reads correct. Also any scrubbing issues?Cheers, James. ________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

I run 195 45 16 but then mines a little lower so think I'd have clearence issues with 205 wide.________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

Save up and get Ash's 310mm Renaultsport kit instead. A lot better.205/45 profile is the way forward - it had those on the 1.2s I had on it. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

How much am I looking at for a set off brembos? I think I have a dodgy wheel bearing that needs doing first, but will look into them. Just want to get the suspension sorted like you did adam. The power is perfect for me at the moment.________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

The wheels probably weren't balanced properly. Sounds daft but it's a bit hit and miss these days as to whether or not they get balanced properly.________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

205/45/16 as mentioned. That profile sits really nicely on the 306. If you've got 195/40/15 at the moment your speedo will be over reading. They're calibrated for 50 or 55, I can't remember which.________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

55 is the factory fitted profile on cyclones.Just to add to this thread, my 16's that are going on will be ET15 with the spacers on and the car's lowered about 55-60mm at the front. Will 205 45's fit or should I stick to 195 50's? ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

Without correcting the offset of the Nimrods I had at the front I found 205/45/16 was fine, but needed 5mm spacers at the rear. I can't remember the offset of the 'rods though, ET25 maybe? ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |
