Evening fellas,

Anyone know what the standard bore is on a Magnex cat back? Or if there are even different sizes? Thinking of switching to a 2.5" outward rolled tip and don't want to be causing a bottleneck...

It's 2.25" IIRC. Yes

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me!

I'm Sure mine was larger than 2.25" thats std pug size iirc maybe 2.5" or more its in a mates garage I'll double check round there today. Personally I'd stay away from magnex sounds a bit to loud and at 70-80mph foooking drone drove me crazy and got too hot and melted mid section rubber hanger clean off several times resulted in a cracked mid pipe.

I know, had the Magnex since I got the car. The midbox is buggered now, every time I get it welded up it blows again

Nah it's had that many patch welds now it looks like swiss cheese. Going to straight-through it to get it roadworthy for SoS and then look at a full system, possibly Jetex, in a couple of months

It entirely depends on the Magnex you have fitted. I'm not sure all 3 or 4 types are the same.

Nopes, Magnex's are notorious for the welds going on the middle box.

Not any more though, a nice straight piece of stainless replaced mine and it's made a world of difference Smile
