No i had OMP, cheap enough, made everything a lot firmer espcially in the twisties, have a search for strut brace as there is a few threads, and other makes to consider too.

I would agree with this Tbh.
I took mine off my old 6 to paint it and the car actually felt better without it so I left it off.

I'd spend the money on something that may acually do something, have a look at the lower ones Phil is making maybe.

Tbh go to search, type in strutbrace and read the thread about "better without it" looooads of comments regarding "depends on the car" "depends on suspension set up" etc etc, too many variables to just say yes / no Razz

I see where you are coming from but I am purely commenting on my own experience with them (OMP btw)

I cant really see the variable's on a well maintained, standard car but if we are talking modified suspension on track cars etc then I totally agree that there are way to many.

Loads of variables even on a standard car really - tyres fitted, pressures, driving style, road conditions....

compare the rigidity of an etech and say an omp.
One can be made to visibly bend by hand and spring back when releasd.
The other is solid.

£74.05 inc VAT is the latest price from the strutbracer website for the OMP red upper steel brace. The ebay website is only offering black ones for £92, which is getting up there price-wise.

I actually want an alloy one to stay with the Rallye lightweight theme, as a steel strut brace is quite heavy.

Anyone know of a decent alloy brace - don't like the e-tech one as it does not look solid enough, and I don't like braces with pivot joints between bar and tower brackets.
