Just about to reassemble the rebuilt beam and have managed to secure a dummy shock to help set the ride height.

Im lowering the front on new B8's and new 30mm lower Eibach springs..... so....

Am i right in saying that the standard rear shock mounts are 330mm, and that a 3mm change in ride height is a 2mm difference in shock bolt distances?

so, assuming a 30mm drop on the rear (im fitting VTS torsion bars as well) will be a 310mm distance in bolt centres?

Will the stiffer TB's have any effect on static ride height? Ie will i need to drop it a touch more because its stiffer?

Ive used the search but not found a deffinative answer..

apart from b8s, you'll want the same height as my 6

so 310mm should be similar to this

but slightly lower with afull tank of fuel Wink

When I fitted 21.3 mm torsion bars on the 205, I set it to the std height. It looked like a 4x4 to say the least LOL So I would say yes.

i think i went for about 308mm

but as said, with a full tank of fuel it does sit lower

so i'd go with 310mm to be safe Wink

thread pitch on dummy shock is 1.25mm and 1mm on dummy shock = 3mm ride height with standard torsion bars. 1 turn on dummy shock = 3.75 mm. half a turn 1.875mm.

322mm on stock torsion bars i've found is around 25mm, 320 around 30mm.

Very hard to be precise with specific lowering distances really what with bushes and manufacturing tolerances, but easy enough to get both sides the same.
