since i got my 6 last month ive been on the hunt for a set of cyclones as the last owner scrapped them or sold them on as they were badly corroded.

my plan is to paint them either black or grey/anthracite.

now, do i pay over the odds for a semi decent/really clean set and risk messing them up during the re furb (as i plan to do this myself)and would also have delivery costs as all the good sets seem to be down south

or, ive been offered a set for £80, that arent in great nick, so will have to put in a fair bit of time and effort to get them looking good again. and there only 30 mines away.

this set come with tires but will need replaced.
i have 2 near brand new tyres on the back of my current rims,i can get these swapped over, and can get a pair of second hand tyres for the front for cheap, (my mate and his dad both work in the local tyre fitting places, and have built up quite a stock)

then, when i have the time refurb my current alloys, bang on some snow tyres later in the year and use them for the winter.

i have never refurbed alloys before, the spraying is not a problem, its just tring to make them look as good as new that im worried about.

what do you guys think as im tight for cash atm so would have to save for a decent set.

i was gonna buy a set of cyclones in shit nick for about £60, i'd be prepared to pay up to about £80 if they weren't too bad to be honest.. totally random, sometimes you find them cheap, others go for loads

if they have no tires on them already, bargain, saves taking them off and better refurb job overall. i'm after a set [tyre-less] to refurb and swap my tyres onto

my mate can whip them off on his lunch break or somethin, will buy him 20 fags lol.

i think il just go for it, would rather spend 80 quid and mess it up than, say 200 quid and mess it up

Sorry about the spelling, didn't do too bad considering my phones nackered and can't see what I'm writing lol. If I don't get the wheels I'll maybe give you a shout chris, as your not too far away. Would be wanting them without tyres tho. Pm me with what u would take for them. Is there still a place left for the rr day. I forgot to reply to ur pm. If there is I'll come down.
