I was thinking about increasing the power of my GTi 6 by changing the exhaust system and the manifold, but I am having trouble finding a better manifold to purchase. Does anyone know a good place to pick one up? I also heard you can have your manifold gassed to make it smoother and more responsive, would it be better to have this done instead, or is it just a waste of money?

Thanks Fantasticbob

the standard manifold is good as it is, some of the supercharged boys are putting out 400+bhp through it with no problems.

If you did want to change it then I believe maniflow are a popular choice

no point changing the manifold unless your going over 220bhp on a N/A engine.

gas flowing the manifold is complete bullshit, you'd be better off chucking the money on an open fireLOL

maniflow are good but they make two types of manifold, a road spec Y shape one and a proper race spec one. the road ones create a big dip in mid range torque but the proper race spec ones around around £600

as said above the charged boys are running 400+ on supercharged engines.
