For the performance they give out, these cars can return very good mpg if you want them to. And this trait is continued over from standard to Supercharged which is nice. 43mpg on a run, that is impressive Matt!________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I was very pleased TBH, downside is to keeping it at a light throttle cruise is the cramp in your ankle LOL! ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? This month I used 186.7L of petrol, Covered 1512 miles (longest single journey distance was about 15miles so its not exactly motorway miles) spent £247.17 and averaged 36.81MPG. Not bad considering I haven't exactly been plodding along lately So 43mpg I believe can be achieved on long journey's.Am I wrong that I believe owning my GTi6 is more economical than me owning my old 1.2 corsa, reason being I had to floor it most of the time whereas the GTi6 cruises up to speed ________________________________________ JAMMA "M44YHW" MAYHEWLOSE WEIGHT NOW - ASK ME HOW - NUTRI-FIX GTi6 LPG, The best of both worlds! 2006: 1997 R reg 306 1.4 Miami - Diablo Red - DEAD 2007: 1999 V reg 306 1.4 Meridian - Diablo Red - SOLD 2007-09: 1998 S reg 306 GTi6 - Diablo Red - DEAD 2009-10: 1998 R reg Corsa 1.2 - Blue - SOLD 2010-13: 2001 Y reg 306 GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red - DEAD 2013 - 2013: 2000 X reg GTi6 LPG - Moonstone Blue - DEAD 2013 - current: 2001 X reg GTi6 LPG - Diablo Red ]FOR SALE[/b] "I LIVE FOR THE 306" |

I got 33.06 mpg on a return run Lincoln - Cirencester this week which I thought was OK. I wasn't even trying to be especially economical. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

35 mpg would be good in one of these, I've drive a couple of. Diesel insignias and made 50-60 mpg which is no shock but I also hired a Petrol 1.8 insignia and expected 40mpg seen as it was the most gutless car I've ever driven but no I managed 35mpg and that was trying. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I see what your saying, I suppose what I meant was that its worth knowing that if you want/need to get that sort of mpg it is achieveable even though its not particularly fun... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
