I've been having a few problems with my 6 since the weather got really cold, stuttering around 2k rpm but ok above this. Just before Xmas on a particularly cold morning it broke down on my wife's way to work (only got about ½ mile from home), I towed it home and was able to get it started straight away using some jump leads so I assumed it was a knackered battery. Left it stood over Xmas as we didn't need to use it and picked up a new battery but I haven't been able to start it again...

I've had the AA out and they couldn't get it going either, they suggested it could be coilpacks, headgasket or cambelt - obviously I'm hoping for the former.

I'm assuming that since I got it started following the initial breakdown it's not the cambelt, but I'm a bit worried it's the headgasket - It's gone before and I had it done by CG Cars about 3 years ago and remember how much it cost!

Anyone got any suggestions or experienced similar problems?

I've a feeling this is just the start of a long list.

Oh well, better get it booked in and get my wallet ready for a bashing.

To make my mood even crappier, I stupidly ran over the rope I was being towed by resulting in cracked bumper Sad
