Well i have just landed myself a very cheap newish van and want to have it sign written and lower it and fit some wheels.

This is where i need your help, if some one can use the pictures below and design a great set of decals or a wrap for the back of it etc i am willing to give them £50 or take that off of a job they require doing.

Basically i want as much info on it as possible, french car specialists, mots £35 (free retest), tyres, servicing, timing belts, recoveries, car sales, spares, etc.

Heres the van-

I have also been tring on a few sets of wheels i have, pro race 1.2s in shadow chrome-

Lions-

Here is a van local to me and i like it but i think its a bit ott, nice all the same-

Many thanks, any help is more than welcome, i am looking to do this asap so when a find a good photoshop etc i will be all over it.

Well i was bored and decided to remove all stickers off the van and give it a good going over with the machine polisher, its quite amazing how flat the paint can go over a short period of time, this is how she looks now-

A funny shot, this is the engine believe it or not and has a massive 70BHP, compared to a gti6 this thing is dead-

A better view of the handsome thing, although its good for 60mpg +-

Well as i never went out last nightShock , i decided to take a picture of the van before i lowered it-

Then it was into the garage where i ripped it to pieces and fitted it with some goodies.

First off on the ramp and all the wheels off, also whipped the sump bung out for a quick oil and filter change-

Time to get these fitted, a pair of -60mm lowering springs-

So out with these-

A bit of tweaking with this-

Oh i also decided to fit one of my big brake kits to it aswell-

Comparison of the old and new- (bit of a difference)

Offered up to the van and all bolted in place-

Time now to make me some braided brake lines to suit, one brake line and the required ends-

Once fitted-

Opposite end-

Fitted to the van0-

It was then time to tackle the suspension, with the front strut removed and out it was time to test my new bit of kit, shock out-

On the new bit of kit, so much easier and far safer-

Little bit of differenceWhistle -

New spring compressed and ready for me to re bolt the shock onto it-

One corner finished, big brakes on, lowered spring on, rebuilt and the lion refitted-

Unfortunately it didnt all go to plan, i removed the torsion bars out the back end and adjusted accordingly but on the drivers side rear the arm felt notchy when moving it up or down, i decided to remove the arm and inspect, upon doing this it was apparant we had a bearing issue, once the arm was removed it was clear to see the bearings (little needle rollers) had come out of the cage they sit in and just fell out, luckily the tube itself is fine so its a trip to the dealers monday to see if i can get my hands on a repair kit.

Heres the state i left it in-

Well with that the vehicle i drove to work i had to leave it there and make my own way back without it, have to say i was gutted (new toy and that).

I dropped the van off the ramp to get an idea of how it looked, here are a few little shots-

All in all pretty pleased, just itching to get it back on the road again now, looking at the parts catalogue its just a 206 rear axle so parts shouldnt be that bad to get hold of, fingers crossed.

Have to say I love the van, came home in it today now all repaired and sitting outside the house all colour coded now too.

A few detailed pictures i took yesterday.

With the bumpers removed for colour coding-

completed pics-

In for the sign writing at the end of the week.

forgot to bring the camera home but got this shot-

Here is a quick iphone photo, gives you an idea, will get some better ones up soon, this is how the van now looks.

Well today i decided to buy a donor vehicle to replace the 1.9 non turbo diesel engine (dw8), after a serach this is what i got myself, one very badly accident damaged 306 hdi, one owner and was told about 40k miles-

Well i bought the car from an elderly gent who lent the car to his grandson, well as you can see he wasnt the best of drivers-

As i bought it blind and took the chance on it i didnt even know if it ran, £400 later it was on the truck and i brought it home, took a pry bar to the bonnet and heres the heart-

Spent an hour reconnecting broken wires etc and fitted and new battery and we got this-

The best bit of all was this-

A bit of a bargain i feel??

Well i now have to find the time to remove the engine from the van and swop it all over.

Watch this space.

We have the same spring compressor in the workshop, although its bolted to the floor, id leave it un bolted as be much better being able to move it around with you.

Well things are not as straight forward as they seem doing engine transplants on the newer vans/cars.

It turns out that this van is multiplexed which has opened up a tin of worms, basically this means that one wire can send up to 5 different sinals down it and make various componants work.

Well being a bog standard van and not having much electrics it basically means that the bm34 (a posh name)smart fuse box wouldnt be happy, looking at ways around this the cheapest option was to buy a complete van and savage it for the bay loom, bsi, bm34 and of course the engine ecu which i would get virginised.

Well today after a good few weeks searching ebay i land not one but two high mileage Peugeot partner vans (200k),will have to see which one is going to see its maker.

But this means i will use the low mileage engine and box from the 306 and all the other parts from the van.

A long winded approach but i feel this way i will have the van i want (with power and fuel economy) and a late low mileage van with the right bits fitted.

Time to get the vehicles to work and rip them to bits.

Donor van for parts, mainly ecu and wiring loom, may put my old engine in it and sell this back on, love the rusty doors-

Is this my car in the background of this? Maybe Laurantgarnier if he still has his..

Also, I think gti6 brakes would of been a good enough upgrade... hint hint Wink

Want to swap them for my brakes? I need those TVR brakes more Yes
