(I say lost connection because it doesn't seem the battery was flat, it took a few attempts to start, and my initial thought was that it was mega flat as the car didn't even turn over ... maybe some belt or something was frozen, I dunno, but that's by the by ...)
So my radio now wants it's code, which of course I dont have.
After a search it seems the Phase 3 radios can't be simply deciphered and its going to cost me, but I just wanted to be sure as it's not clear whether this refers to all phase 3 radios or just the CD head units.
Mine is an early casette unit with a CD changer in the boot (PU2294A ??), so ...
1) Can I retrieve the code myself, if so how do I get the damn thing out, (I've searched this aswell) but I can't see any little holes at the bottom of the face to shove anything in, let alone a small flat screwdriver?
2) If I'm going to have to pay someone, who?
Is it a Halfords job or Peugeot dealer only, or can any decent garage do this?
Cheers,
Dave
