What are the benefits from a 4-1 or a 4-2-1 manifold and whats the difference apart from the seperation?

On our cars there is little difference.

On cars with a cast manifold then you can get some gains depending on how badly they are made.

You get the exhausts gases out of the car more efficiently some will argue thats its not worth doing on these engines but hey they didn't use them when racing - It does however depend who makes it for you as a poorly made manifold will be sh1t - I suggest you check with Maniflow in Salisbury, Wiltshire as they used to do the old tour car manifolds Wink

Not exactly as they are two different things LOL

What has been said is you wont see or benefit from the differences on a fairly standard engine, people say the standard one is good for over 200Bhp Na so I'd save your money personally.
