Right, the front end (mainly passenger side) gives me some really bad knocking and rattling over bumps and is very bad over uneven surfaces. However if coming up to some bumps etc that I know normaly cause said sound and i bake firmly putting a load over the front there is no knocking sound.
The steering also feels rather loose and does not inspire me with any confidence which is a vast difference to my last 6 and when i first picked this one up.

Any ideas? I dont really want to just start stripping stuff down and replacing random crap.
The last owner said the only thing he didnt replace in the last 2 years was the ARB and bushes.

Things that it wont be (hopefully) are ball joints and anything to do with the rear as Carl (Mech Repairs) replaced them whilst rebuilding the rear beam (shagged bearings) in september.

I have given as much information as possible so hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

Get it in the air and try to move everything.

P bushes / balljoints I'd say. Could be arb droplinks or the bushes but the bushes rarely go.

Could also be a topmount bearing.

Got Rich W roller bearing wishbone bushes on and they were regreased and seemed to be working well a few months ago.

How do you check top mounts? ball joints should be fine due to only being 2 months old (ish).

Check them anyway - might be a defective one.

Not really sure to be honest on the top mounts apart from jacking it up and trying to get something to move.

Oh and also check the balljoints are tight in the hubs Thumbs up

Well i have bought droplinks and new ARB bushes so i will be getting them on but didnt want to put them on, still have the problem and have to remove the droplinks again a couple of weeks later as more than likely they wont come off cleanly

My money would be on droplinks. The uneven surfaces will make it sound rattly.
