Can anyone tell me what is the ideal set-up for a 6 track car. What coilovers? And what spring rating would I go for? I have avo ones but they still seem quite soft. I want to get something very stiff! What about a good arb set up aswell? Any hints on Geo set up?The car is not for the road so I can go to extremes here! |

KW are a popular choice. AST are also very good and about the same price, but you have a choice of spring rate on those. Guess it depends on your budget - ASTs are about £1000 for single way sportline 1s, and about £3500 for 3-way.I was running 285 front for a road setup but needed bigger rear tbs really. You'll want the bigger of Ash's rear ARBs. I'd have a good search through here as there is a load of info. CRF450 (martin), Farmer, Russian Guy (denis), Miles, Ash and Pete_Rallye (please add if i've missed you...) are regular track/race whores. Worth PM'ing them I reckon to ask their opinions. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

The type of damping you can adjust. I can't remember off the top of my head. Give Curtis (AST UK) a ring on 01684 275000 and he'll be able to answer all of your questions. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Simon is it possible to get the springs on there own? I have Avos also. If I could get new higher rated springs I'd be happy. |

There is no ideal setup as it depends on too many things, the main been the budget! When going up in spring rate - in most cases it is necessary to re-valve the dampers to work with the springs. ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye Project threadWhiteBMW M140i |
