hi im new on here. i bought my brothers gti 6 off him and i love it but my only complaint is the exhaust on it,cant hear myself think,was told its a decat scorpion stainless system,basically i want rid of it and want to put standard back on but need to know best place to get one.Also i know nothing bout exhausts and was wandering if the scorpion system is worth anthing,my brother also said the car wont pass mot with the decat on it,is this true?cheers carl

You are best off getting a genuine Peugeot exhaust and Cat, but this will be VERY expensive new from a dealer, so could try putting a thread in the 'Wanted' section on here...maybe someone has a used one they can sell you. Or keep an eye out on eBay. Also, Jetex do a very quiet stainless system, which would be a good alternative.The exhaust and decat will be worth something on here, get some good photos of it and put an advert in the for sale section. Finally, a decat will fail an MOT...unless you find a test station who can turn a blind eye, but this is aparently getting less common nowadays. Hope that helps, and welcome to the club! |
