As title basiclly, now im quite aware of what this all points toHowever the matrix was changed 4 weeks ago and the car seems to be running ok, allbeit a bit shit on fuel I was wondering if theres a common place for these to leak in? seeing as we had a very heavy rainpour the other night Any help appreciated ________________________________________ Audi S3 Black Edition |

Is that door seal ok? Also check if water is coming from the A pillar. It doesn't normally but worth a check. Does the water taste of water? ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

check that it's bled properly,if the matrix is full of steam it will escape there________________________________________ pet hate, the cat |

Had this problem when i first got mine, i took all the door seals off and cleaned all the gunk out that was under them and made sure they were all refitted correct. stopped mine leaking in water....worth a try. |

davidmartin wrote: check that it's bled properly,if the matrix is full of steam it will escape there Really? im actually quite worried that i havnt nipped something up where the matrix joins the pipes and im going to have to have it all back out again   Ill try bleeding it tommorow and see what happens, strange because since the head has been doing i keep checking the carpet and its been ok, only today when i checked it was really wet, thinking it could have maybe been the downpour, i really hope it is ..... however in GTI-6/Rallye Land things never are  ________________________________________ Audi S3 Black Edition |

had massive trouble with this on loads of my 306's \ 6's... water collects in the bottom front corner of the door sill fills up the inside squidgy bit of the seal and then comes in the footwell. Also could be blocked door drain holes. Another thing can be if someones had the door card off e.g for a new window regulator they may not have put back all of the seals that cover the holes in the door. Water runs down the window and down the inside of the door card.All this is providing your heater matrix is ok of corse...  hope it is because i've been there before and had to take the whole lot out again as i managed to crack one of the pipes that goes through the bulkhead ________________________________________ Black power baby! Take the passenger speaker grill off and unscrew the speaker. Check that there is a piece of plastic/foam behind the speaker to deflect any water that drops down inside the door. Without it or if it is damaged water will land on the speaker magnet and run down inside the door panel then into the footwell. I've had 3 306's with this problem as previous owners had put aftermarket speakers in and torn the plastic/foam. Worth checking as it's only 3 screws? ________________________________________ |

Funny you should say, as i was about to update, your theory was very much correct, as it had rained this morning, i had a check and sure as shite, it was coming in from the bottom of the speaker cover Thanks  , will have to find a way to solve it________________________________________ Audi S3 Black Edition |

Hey folks,My 6 is filling up the passenger footwell with fluid. It isn't coolant. It is coming through the bulkhead gromet. There is a power lead running through the gromet for an amp. Question is, is there an easy way to repair this? I assume its the aircon drain pipe... Looks like it could be a pig of a job.... ________________________________________ Love thy 6 |

i have just been out to mine to try and stop my door rubber filling up then running into drivers well Fitted a new wrench rubber,fitted plastic sheet behind speaker so il see what happens now. oddly enough when its jetwashed it doesnt happen,its only when the cars sat and it rains hard Poxy french crap |

I always slit the seal a little. It seems to allow the rain water to drain out of the seal okay. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

If all else fails i shall do that but think it defeats object of seal Passenger side does not do it so drivers side shouldnt.gotta b a seal somewhere not quite right m8 |

You can also check in this places i pointed out in the picture. In both sides, theres a little drain hole in the bottom, and when its clogged, that place fills up with water untill it starts getting in somewhere through the firewall. Try pouring somewater there, and it should get out behind the wheel, if nothing comes out, you need to unclog the drain hole. Hope it helps, and that you understand my primitive english  |

I find you need to remove the door seal and squeeze it back together where it connects to the car, then re attach the rubber the car using a piece of wood and hammer to get a really good seal Always sorted the problem with many of my 306s  Also check the seals at the bottom of the window are good and deflecting water away from the glass |

Is this a similar issue when screen wash water comes in through an open drivers door window when travelling, or is this just a design fault? |

Hope it helps, and that you understand my primitive english I blew it our with air at work, loads nasty s**t came out, but it runs directly from the gromet, so Im guessing the air con drain pipe got punctured putting a hole in for the power cable to run through. I might just fill it with silicone as the guy above said ________________________________________ Love thy 6 |
