Ive just rescued a pair of xsara vts TB's from a rear beam, i'd kept them in the order id removed them, ive repainted them and now the kids have moved them in the garage so im not sure which one goes where...

Logic would say they are identical, but are they? Im aware they have different part numbers but are they different?

one reason i always stamp them with a number when stripping beams

i'll try and explain

number 2 will be the one that should have hardly any pitting of the torsion bar on the offset washer end

due to the fact that about 2" is protected when it's placed though the trailing arm

does that make sense?
