The strut top skin thickness is 3mm, you could weld a plate over the top if your worried about it. TBH I'd put a strut brace on it & consider extending the roll cage to the strut tops.![]() ________________________________________ Get used to seeing the yellow one !!!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Team 330™ ![]() Team "no front end or engine" Team "LIMITED EDITION" I live for the 306 sticker ![]() Team 0-60 in 6.44 & standing qtr in 14.808 @ 94.55mph all with std engine ![]() 203bhp Corolla T-Sport daily driver stealthier than Kwai Chang Caine |

Thanks guys,I have a strut brace that I was adding anyway. just not sure how much abuse a 3mm top would take. Does anyone here have a forest spec 306 rally car that could advise? |

weld a top plate on, pretty essential realy, continuous seam weld the outer seam and also drill holes in the plate and plug weld into the top mount, then use a strut brace |
