Going to the ring next week and my local supplier has just let me down for my new brakes.

Need your advice, I have a standard Ph3 "6" and want to uprate the callipers, discs and brakes before I go to crash at the ring lol.

I have always used greenstuff, what are they like on the 6. Any other makes that people can recommend and I dont want ones that squeal!!!!

Cheers Andrew

Don't bother with Greenstuff, IMO Garbage! Is the car otherwise standard?? If so Stick with Brembo discs from GSF, andf i would normally say Ferodo DS2500's but myself and Ben 306 have had a bad experience with ferodos recently so maybe go with Mintex or Carbon Lorraine RC6 pads.... just my 2p's worth!Wink

RC6s are really great, but they kill discs and leave a lot of dust on the wheels.

How about a set of the new blue stuff that phil has been trying?

Jeffers

Yes she's completely standard and hopefully she will stay that way for many years to come, until i rip the guts from her and make her a weekend track slag!

Cheers swampy for your advice also, think I will go for the braided lines another month when I got the time and money, hopefully just after xmas

On standard discs & calipers I'd say Mintex 1144s or Ferodo DS2500s will be OK for the ring. Though would definitely recommend some good fluid & hoses anyway.

The ring isn't that heavy on brakes, plus unless it's a private trackday you don't string back-to-back hard laps like you can on a normal trackday.

Get to GSF for some ATE SuperBlue brake fluid too, at £10/L its the best on the market at a reasonable price! Mintex 1144 are good, had them on both of my quick 306's but I'd get Carbotech XP8's if I could!
