Hi all.
When refitting the rear shocks, or renewing them, does anyone know the correct measurement between the bolt centres before tightening the mounting bolts back up??.
Have heard different opinions and distances.

Afaik, the beam is standard height, and has not been lowered.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks.

You don't need to worry about that unless you are taking the torsion bars out to change the ride height.

Just fit the dampers and tighten the bolts.

Just fit the dampers and tighten the bolts while the weight of the car is on the wheels

Cheers for the help Rich and Jord.
Tbh was going to lower car to floor let it settle and do the bolts up.
Makes sense i guess, just didn't want the bushes in the end of the shocks getting twisted out!, as obviously the sleeve is clamped against the side of the mounting bracket when tightened.
Did manage to get hold of a haynes manual, and it quotes 288mm between bolt centres, figures about right i guess.
