Think i'm going to do the head gasket when i replace the cams anyway, new belt and pump too just to be on the safe side, no symptoms apart from brown coolant so i'm assuming its to do with a filthy system as opposed to anything more sinister.

Can't hurt having a new one ay?

So is there no way of finding out which matrix you need until you get the old one out?

Hmm looks more like a Valeo one or similar. Does it have a manufacturer stamp on it anywhere?

Nope, not second hand, that's how it looked when it came out the box. My local ECP are not gentle carting stuff around.

Smug

I'd take it back and beat them round the head with it mate, if I buy anything else new I don't expect the chap in the shop to bounce it off a few walls before he hands it to me!

ECP don't list a BEHR matrix. The part number for the equivalent is twice the price and they didn't have any in stock Roll eyes

After 3 months off the road a couple more days won't make that much difference. Just wish it wasn't so damn cold.

So is that the last bit you have to do Royston? Is it going to be ready for the rolling road?

Hey roy,
There should be a brown conector directly behind the stereo next to the nut in the bulkhead. This is for the alarm led.

If it's not that, then I do remember both those going in behind the glovebox/airbag area.

Mine does not have a passenger airbag but I still had both wires.

I am sure one will be for the glovebox light, not sure about the other but there both plug in right next to each other.

Will not be easy if the dash is all back together though Sad

Cheers Mark. I had to remove the vents to do the alarm led so it looks like I will have to get the dash off... again!

I'm finding it hard to live for the 6 at the moment Dry

Right, after pulling the dash part way out to get more access I can't find any other connectors behind the glovebox. I don't have a light for the glovebox so that could be one of them ruled out.
What else is behind there that needs power?
