Get it mapped properly rather than a generic map. Anything you download will be based on hypothectical figures, get it mapped individually to your car.

Wayne at Chipwizards in Rochdale can map the standard ECU

Basically a remap can be one of two things:

1. a "guess" as to your air and fuel flow etc, so may increase power or torque but is designed to be applied to every gti6 out there and won't meet your specific needs

2. an accurate adjustment to the engine suited to your specific modifications and engine condition

what it is m8 is that my friend has the equipment to do remaps and he says if i can fintd the re map down loads for the gti6 he can do it for me coz he cant find them so your saying i should take the engines condition and stuff under consideration

I'm saying your individual modifications.

Plus you can't map the standard ECU using normal OBDII equipment, the ECU doesn't have a port for that

I'd say it sounds like you should leave your ECU well alone.

Nowhere, this isn't a new turbodiesel where you can just wind the fuel and boost up and hope it doesn't go bang.
