Had it slip on me last weekend... thought id bolloxed the box but was just the quickshift spun on selector... yes its the first time in 2 years, but it'll be going in the bin now! Dont want it to hurt my shot peened box when it goes on!

could cost a new box if your not careful..

Totally agree, had mine slip in Southend and had no tools at hand, had to limp home with 1, 3, 5!

Just drill out the hole and use a proper size nut and bolt Wink

I just fitted mine today, did it up bas**rdly tight with some threadlock for good measure then took it for a hard drive. Job jobbed.

Does get lose overtime though which is why Royston stuck a bigger bolt through mine. Time will tell if it's successful.

Well when I finally get my engine rebuilt I will be butchering a brand new one and fitting it.

When you think of a plain shaft being clamped it's not surprizing it slips, If it was done properly (Splined) then it would be better but still not ideal

I bought 1 years ago and fitted it to my white 306 never had a problem but recently bought 1 for the rallye and found it was a slightly different design when i compared them................. early design was better ?

Had mine on years now and it had been fine but eventually, the thread ohn the bolt stripped itself from being on tight.

I could have used any nut and bolt but I gave GE a quick email and they sent the fittings out to me for nothing at all Thumbs up

Do it up as tight as you can and there should be no issues with them Smile
