Just removed my cylinder head from the Rallye this morning, went relatively well. Had some issues pulling the head off with the exhaust manifold attached, managed it in the end but had to lower the engine allot etc. Anyway my question is, what is the easiest way to re-install the head, with or without the manifold? Should I get new nuts etc and put on the manifold when the head is on?

Thanks for any advice

Ant

Put the manifold on after the head is on the block, you will struggle otherwise, i always use new nolts and studs, thats totally up to you.

Deffo put the manifold in the car, and then place the head on, then attach the manifold afterwards....

You will struggle like hell to get the head placed on correctly with the manifold attached and you have risk of bending valves doing it this way. Yes
