Just removed my cylinder head from the Rallye this morning, went relatively well. Had some issues pulling the head off with the exhaust manifold attached, managed it in the end but had to lower the engine allot etc. Anyway my question is, what is the easiest way to re-install the head, with or without the manifold? Should I get new nuts etc and put on the manifold when the head is on?Thanks for any advice Ant ________________________________________ Life is short, make it interestingBuy a Peugeot! |

Put the manifold on after the head is on the block, you will struggle otherwise, i always use new nolts and studs, thats totally up to you.Carl ________________________________________ C.G.Cars of Leicester, Peugeot/Citroen/Renault specialist Tel: 01162 624498/07799 405184 WWW.CGCARSLEICESTER.CO.UK36 narborough road south, Leicester LE3 2fn MOT station now open, tests £35 with a free retest. Deffo put the manifold in the car, and then place the head on, then attach the manifold afterwards....You will struggle like hell to get the head placed on correctly with the manifold attached and you have risk of bending valves doing it this way. If cams are not in the head all the valves are sat flat in the head? ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |
