The rad looks great from the top, but not its best from the bottom.
The car is a Phase 2, 1997 and looks to have the older stlye twist/lock lower rad hose.
Is there only 2 types of rad ?
(1) The older twist/lock and (2) The newer metal clip type ?

Got the GTI jacked up this morning, had a poke around to work out where the leak is coming from....It's coming from various places along the bottom of the rad.The rad looks great from the top, but not its best from the bottom. both under the same part number though typically there are 3 hoses, first one is for the early rad, and the other two both fit the later style rad but just have different clips in the wheelarch under the inner wing, last of the 3 is cheapest o-rings are different from the early to later two. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Ok I need the early type, I have the black 2 forked clip and twist styleAre these the same lower hoses as the early 8v XSI engines ? Reason I ask is that my current one has some cable ties holding it together and I have an 8v hose in the garage which is perfect |
