Hi all...

Have done some searching but to no avail... Sad

Anyone know of a good place to purchase these at a reasonable price? Found Graham Goode do the springs for £102inc vat which seemed pretty reasonable? Not sure where to get the B8's from?

Also do i really need the Bilstien's? My car is Fast Road/Track based and will eventually (fingers crossed) be going High Boost. Im looking to lower it by 30/35mm. Will the Bilstiens help that much? (If it helps im on 17's due to my 406 Calipers Smile)

How do you find it on just the Eibachs? Any ideas how much the B8's are roughly? What part of the handling do they improve? Would I just be spending money for moneys sake?

In what way? Improved damping.

The consensus round these parts for years now has been that the Eibach springs, Bilstein B6/B8s with rear lowered slightly to suit makes for a good "out of the box" fast road/track setup. Beyond that, a hybrid ARB. Beyond that, coilovers and you get to start adjusting & playing with settings - if you have the time & ability to tweak these to perfection. And even then, there are a lot of bad coilover kits that are worse than the Bilstein + Eibach setup.

In my experience, versus the standard shocks, the Bilstein + Eibach combo is slightly firmer so slightly less comfortable over the bumps and potholes of BasraLondon (but not unacceptably so). The plus side is it's better controlled and a lot less roll on the track.

Back to back from a ring trip comparing good condition standard suspension to this setup, the car just felt better tied down - and I found I was having to manage the back end a lot less (while still being nicely adjustable).

I have B8's and Eibach springs, I like the set up and the ride height is spot on imo.

I believe these 21mm torsion bars are standard in the Xsara VTS. £120-£150 off the top of my head.
