I have a Jenvey MP02 inlet manifold( actually a longman design) which is sold for the MI16 and GTI6 head.
The manifold ports to the head do not have the GTI6 injector cutouts, they are just round ports.

Is it necassary to machine these into the manifold( the casting has the necassary land for this) or is it OK to run a round flange onto the GTI6 head.

Just bolt it on, the Bodies have the holes for the injectors and with bodies you don;t want them that close anyway, well not unless you run 8 of them

Thanks for the reply but it's not the injectors I am thinking about, it's wether the step from manifold to head effects the air flow etc.

If you are that worried, bring me the head and I'll weld up the injector cutouts for you, I really can't see it making a huge difference though mate.

Welding the head would be the best solution, but if others have run it as is then so will I.

There is enough land on the manifold to cut it out to match the head, which may be the best compromise.
