Power steering sensor on the front of the car causes all sorts of funny things to happen to the running of the engine - seen it with my own eyes. Had a couple of cars come in with running probs - changed the sensor all sorted Just my 2 pence worth if all usual suspects fail ![]() |

Where's the power steering sensor ? (any pics or is it obvious!)& today it seems to idle just over 1k but NOT die ! Hmmmmm ________________________________________ Thank Phat Its Friday Team: ![]() |

Cleaned the Stepper motor & took the Map sensor off n kind of cleaned it a lil.Car seems fine now, well at least for the moment ![]() ________________________________________ Thank Phat Its Friday Team: ![]() |

Yes - the car will run fine if nothing is connected to the cam over outlet, but at the other end of that pipe it is connected to the inlet behind the throttle plate so the engine can suck unmetered air through the pipe causing it to rev. Could explain why the problem only kicks in after a while...could be that the pipe heats up a bit and the split allows air / more air down into the engine. ![]() |
