Anyone know why the threads on the front hubs only go half way into the hub, is there any reason to this.

Thinking some of the issues im having which resulted in the incident at silverstone may be down to having to run 3mm spacers which I dont particulary like.

Would taking the threads right through so I can bolt my wheels up without spacers cause any issues. I can only assume its a clearence thing but I doubt my wheel bolts would even protrude the rear of the hub anyhow.

Does that make any sence LOL

with the wheel off?

its due to a buildup of shit+corrosion on the threads, which occurs simply due to the fact that the bolts don't go all the way through as standard.

the threads do go all the way through.
